Perfect for solo travellers, couples, or groups!

Tapas, aka small bites, big delights, are typical of Spanish cuisine, and nowhere are they done better than in Barcelona. Eat like a local on this award-winning “Tipsy Tapas” Barcelona Food Tour, where we skip the crowds and head straight to the plates locals actually love. Over 2.5 delicious hours, you’ll hop between four top tapas spots, tasting classic small plates, sipping local drinks, meeting the people behind the food, and uncovering hidden cultural gems along the way.

Follow a foodie guide through two of the city’s most historic neighbourhoods. Wander past Roman ruins in the Gothic Quarter, then head to El Born to browse artisan shops, admire Santa Maria del Mar, and linger in postcard-worthy squares. Along the way, you’ll stop at local hotspots where you’ll experience priority service, with everything prepared before you arrive. With pre-booked tables, a planned itinerary, and a set menu, you’ll try authentic Spanish tapas without the stress. Dig into spicy patatas bravas, fresh pimientos de Padrón, crispy fried fish and croquettes, Basque pintxos, paella, and a Catalan dessert, paired with wine, vermouth, and cava.

Whether you’re travelling solo, with family, colleagues, or a special someone, this tour is made for people who believe food is better when it’s shared. Especially if you don’t want to order nine dishes alone. Book now, and treat your taste buds.

Tour Highlights

    Croquette about it

Kick things off in the Gothic Quarter, where Catalan cuisine found its groove during the Renaissance. Your first stop: a classic tapas bar serving croquettes, patatas bravas, and pimientos de Padrón, best enjoyed with a perfectly paired glass of wine.

  • Group 48099353

    Born to Bodega

This family-run bodega has been doing things right since 1945. With just four tapas on the menu, it’s all about simplicity. Steps from the old port, we’ll eat like sailors once did, sharing cones of fried anchovies (boquerones), tasting butifarra, and pouring wine from a traditional porrón. Vermouth included, obviously.

  • Group 48099354

    Pintxo’clock

Soak up the buzz of a Basque-style pintxos spot and learn how tapas really began. Then comes the fun part: choosing your own pintxos straight from the bar.

  • Group 48099355

    Paella & Pastel

Clink glasses with your new food friends over a chilled cava and share a proper paella. Group bonding, but make it delicious.

frequently asked questions

What does the price of the tour include?

The tour price covers a local guide who’s full of insider knowledge, plus a spread of delicious Spanish dishes and drinks. You’ll get a taste of Barcelona’s best food while learning some cool cultural tidbits!

Can kids join the tour?

Yep, absolutely! Even though there’s alcohol, this tour is family-friendly. We’ve got non-alcoholic drinks for the little ones and non-drinkers to keep everyone happy.

How much do we have to walk?

This is a walking food tour, but it's still pretty relaxed. There’s some light walking, but we go at a good pace. You’ll walk about 10 minutes between stops, so no worries, you won’t be on your feet for too long. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, trust us, you’ll thank us later!

Do we get the choice of what we eat and drink on the tour?

Most of the menu is pre-set, but you’ll get to choose your wine and pick your own tapas at one of the stops! Got dietary restrictions or allergies? Just give us a heads up before the tour, and we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of. Our guides are the definition of foodies and love making sure you have the best time.

Will vegetarians be able to eat on the tour?

For sure! We’ve got vegetarian-friendly options, though there might be fewer choices than the regular menu. We can’t accommodate vegan or gluten-free diets on this tour, but if you’ve got other restrictions, just let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to work with what you've got.

How long does the tour last?

The tour is about 2.5 hours of eating, walking, and enjoying the city. That gives you enough time to savour every dish without feeling rushed!

What happens if it rains?

Rain or shine, we’re going! We’re lucky with Barcelona’s sunny weather most of the time, but if it does rain, no worries—most stops are indoors, so you’ll stay dry while enjoying delicious food.

How many people can be on the tour?

We like to keep it small and cosy, with a maximum of 15 people per group. It makes for a much more relaxed and fun experience, and you’ll get to know everyone a little better.

What if I don't want to eat certain foods?

Not a problem at all! Just let us know in advance if there’s something you’d rather skip. We can’t make changes on the fly, but with enough notice we can make sure there are plenty of other options for you to enjoy.

Are all drinks included in the price of the tour?

Of course! You’ll get to try local wine, vermouth, and cava. If you want more, feel free to grab extra drinks along the way. We can offer tap water during the tour, but if you prefer bottled water, we recommend bringing your own.

If I don't drink alcohol can I still enjoy the tour?

Absolutely! There’s plenty of amazing food to enjoy, and we’ll happily provide non-alcoholic drinks upon request.

Do you offer private food tours of Barcelona?

We do! Private tours are a great way to have a totally customised experience. If you’re interested, just reach out to us, and we’ll make it happen.
